Location & Overview

Vegetation

By reintroducing native vegetation, we will help regenerate the local ecosystem.

The tropical climate provides ideal conditions for a diversity of plants to flourish.

Sustainability
ELECTRIC ENERGY

An efficient design will be created to reduce maintenance costs and energy consumption through the implementation of passive cooling strategies. By generating cross ventilation, shading and vegetation, the ambient temperature will be lowered and the use of air conditioners and fans can be reduced or avoided. Energy saving 50%

WATER

A water treatment plant with a double-circulation system will reuse 100% of the water consumed. Water saving 95%

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Organic materials and artisanal cleaning and hygiene products will be used wherever possible, ensuring recyclable and compostable packaging and the use of biodegradable ingredients.

Arts and Culture

Oaxaca is rich in indigenous and colonial history and culture. As well as its vibrant traditional arts and crafts, it is the capital of modern Mexican art, with the largest exhibitions in the country.

Mezcal

Oaxaca is the home of mezcal production, and has developed many artisanal distilleries throughout the state. Mezcal is now becoming renowned, rivaling the world stage with its northern relative - tequila.

Tourism

Oaxaca may not be the most visited state in Mexico, but it has enjoyed a steady growth of 20% in the past five years.

Culinary

The Mexican food revolution has been led by the development of Oaxacan gastronomy. Three of the top one hundred restaurants in the world feature Oaxacan cuisine.

INFRAESTRUCTURE

The Coast of Oaxaca has seen significant growth in recent years and with the construction of new infrastructure such as the highway connecting to Oaxaca City (scheduled for spring 2023) and the remodeling of the airport, the growth of the area will be even greater.

INFRAESTRUCTURE

Long known and loved for its waves, as well as its tropical coastal shores, Puerto Escondido has enjoyed a steady growth of tourism since the 1980’s, while at the same time maintaining its integrity as a vibrant agricultural and fishing coastal community.

In recent years, with the development of a few higher end projects such as Casa Wabi and Hotel Escondido, a shift in the socioeconomic level of tourism has begun. This is leading to the development of new projects along the coast, with greater cost effectiveness and environmental sensitivity.

SECURITY

The State of Oaxaca and in particular the coast have one of the lowest rates of crime in Mexico. Understanding the great tourist potential, the government has focused its efforts on maintaining stability in this area.

Likewise, the tourism of the area and its location have not created an attraction for the drug cartels, generating an environment of greater independence and economic security.
